Q. Why is the TAGGIES™ Strollin’ Along Activity Bar being recalled?
A. International Playthings has identified the possibility that the shiny material on the elephant’s ear on the activity bar can detach and pose a choking hazard to young children. As a result we along with the CPSC have decided to put the safety of your family first and recall the item.
Q. Are all Taggies products affected?
A. No. We have isolated any potential problems to the one item being recalled. This recall notice is limited to the TAGGIES™ Strollin’ Along Activity Bar.
Q. How does this affect other Taggies Products?
A. We are proud to make quality developmental toys under the Taggies brand. These products can be used with confidence and are not affected by this recall. Taggies products manufactured by other licensees and Taggies, Inc. are not affected by this recall.
Q. How does this affect other products from International Playthings Inc.?
A. International Playthings produces many products for babies and children of all ages. None of our other products are affected by this recall.
Q. Have there been any injuries reported?
A. International Playthings has received three reports of children having the shiny material in their mouths. No injuries have been reported.
Q. What do I do if I have one of the recalled styles?
A. First – take the product away from children. Then contact International Playthings’ customer service by calling (800) 445-8347 or by visiting www.intplay.com and following the recall link on the home page. Once you have contacted customer service International Playthings will send you a free replacement item.
Q. What if I haven’t had a problem with the product?
A. If you have a TAGGIES™ Strollin’ Along Activity Bar but haven’t experienced any problem with it, it is still a potential safety concern and should be removed from your child immediately.
